Dmitry Rasul-Kareyev is a 26 year old clarinetist, Principal clarinet of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (Switzerland) and winner of International Clarinet Debussy Competition Paris 2010.
Dmitry was born in Moscow. His professional development started when he met his first clarinet teacher Vladimir Ferapontov at Moscow Central Music School. In 2001 Dmitry entered Moscow State Conservatoire in the class of Victor Petrov. By that time he was already a laureate of several competitions and festivals in Russia, including “Rosanov International Clarinet Competition 2000” (2nd prize). Since the age of 15 as a member of V.Spivakov International Foundation Dmitry has been regularly performing in most prestigious halls in Moscow and St.-Petersburg. In 2000 V. Spivakov presented Dmitry with a new clarinet, exclusively selected by Paul Meyer.

In 2002 Dmity has been accepted by Royal Academy of Music with full scholarship to study for six years-course. During first two years in London Dmitry won prestigious Geoffrey Hawks Clarinet Prize and all-winds of the Academy – John Solomon Prize, which followed by well-known in Europe Yamaha Scholarship Competition prize. In 2007 Dmitry won the Allcard award from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Dmitry’s love to chamber music can be proved by his creation of an ensemble of creative musicians – London Bach Clarinet Ensemble. The ensemble is oriented to performing both baroque and modern music. In 2004 Dmitry together with Milos Milivojevic gave world premiere of Elena Firsova’s “Invocation” for clarinet and classical accordion at Oxford Chamber Music Festival. In July 2007 Dmitry performed Steve Reich, “New York Counterpoint” at Cheltenham Music Festival. At the Academy Dmitry won Max Pirani, John Ireland and Nickolas Blake Prize, all dedicated to chamber music competitions.

Since the moment Dmitry came to England he has appeared as a soloist in many prestigious halls in UK, including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields, St James’ Church Piccadilly and other London venues. In 2003 Dmitry met Gillian Humphreys, founder of Concordia International Foundation and has played in many concerts, organized by the Foundation.

His orchestral career Dmitry started in 2006 by joining Verbier Festival Orchestra where he also performed solo with maestro James Levine at the piano. In the same year Dmitry won a trial as Sectional Leader in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra which lasted a year until Dmitry left to Finland to take a permanent position in Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra as Co-principal Clarinet. In 2009 Dmitry won the job as Principal Clarinet in the Orchestra de la Suisse Romande and is now living in Geneva.

-First absolutely prize at the International Clarinet Competition ‘G.MENSI’(2009).

-First prize (First Italian winner of the competition’s history) at the International -Clarinet Competition ‘S.MERCADANTE’(2009).

-First prize at the National Clarinet Competition ‘C:SCARPONI’ of Assisi.(2009).
-First prize at the International Clarinet Competition ‘CITTA DI CARLINO’(Junior -Category)(2007).
-Second prize at the International Clarinet Competition ‘RINO VIANI’of -Modena.(2010).
-Second Prize at the International Winds Competition of ‘CHIERI’(2009).
-Fourth prize at the International Clarinet Competition of Paestum (2005).
-Special prize as best young talent at the International Winds competition ‘A.PONCHIELLI’ of Cremona.(2005).
-Finalist to the audition for the European Union Youth Orchestra (2008).

Actually Giovanni Punzi lives in Paris since 2012, where he’s following his studies at the National Conservatory of Music with Philippe Berrod and Pascal Moragues.

Né en 1983 à Avranches, Julien Desgranges effectue ses études musicales au CNSMD de Lyon dans le classe de Jacques Di Donato où il obtient son prix de clarinette mention Très Bien en 2005.
En parallèle, il intègre ensuite le cycle de perfectionnement instrumental , la Formation pédagogique à Lyon ainsi que le classe de Clarinette Basse avec Jean-Noël Crocq au CNSMD de Paris où il obtient un premier prix en 2008.
Entre 2009 et 2010, Julien Desgranges se consacre aux concours internationaux et il obtient plusieurs récompenses notamment le Second Prix du prestigieux « International Crusell Clarinet Competition » en Finlande (Uusikaupunki), le Premier Prix de musique de chambre en sonate au Concours International « Saverio Mercadante » en Italie (Bari), le Troisième Prix au Concours International « Marco Fiorindo » à Turin et le Troisième Prix ainsi que le prix spéciale de la meilleur interprétation de la création au Concours International Debussy à Paris en 2010.
Titulaire du C.A, Julien Desgranges est depuis 2007 professeur de clarinette au CRR de Caen ainsi qu’au pont supérieur de Rennes et premier soliste au sein de l'Orchestre de Caen.
